Date: 23 and 24 May 2026, 10am – 3pm
In this workshop, participants will explore physical approaches that inspire the creation process with AFI, investigating where movement and intention begin, how an idea travels through space, and how it echoes in other bodies.
Working individually, in pairs, or in small groups, participants will engage in playful tasks that sharpen physical awareness and responsiveness, while also keeping the senses open to maintain a constant state of observation, adaptation, and collaboration.
The workshop cultivates creative tools for different points of departure in a compositional process.
BIO
Luca Cacitti is a performer and choreographic assistant.
Born in Italy, he began his dance journey in Ballroom and Latin American dance at the age of six.
In 2007, he moved to the Netherlands to study at Codarts, where he trained in a wide range of dance techniques and performing repertoires, working with prominent choreographers. During the final years of his education, he was invited to join Conny Janssen Danst and later Noord Nederlands Dans (NND), where he began his professional career. There, he performed works by artistic director Stephen Shropshire, as well as by Itzik Galili, Andrea Miller, Roy Assaf, Emanuel Gat, and others. Since 2012, Luca has been based in Amsterdam as a freelance artist, collaborating with various choreographers and directors in Europe and abroad, including Club Guy & Roni, Dunja Jocić, Tomoko Mukaiyama, Tabea Martin, Marcus Azzini & Cecilia Moisio, Diego Tortelli, Eyal Dadon, and Falk Richter & Anouk van Dijk, among many others. Currently performing with OFFprojects, directed by Amos Ben-Tal. Alongside his performing career, he works as a choreographic assistant and dramaturg for Heidi Vierthaler, contributing to her creations for Skånes Dansteater, Regionteater Väst, and Ballet Graz; while further developing her movement method, Streamflow.
Luca also teaches both Streamflow and Yoga in the major dance companies across Europe.

Shay Partush is a dancer and choreographic assistant.
Born in Jerusalem, he started training as a gymnast before transitioning into dance. He began his professional career with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (KCDC).
In 2011, he moved to the Netherlands to join Noord Nederlands Dans (NND)performing works of Stephen Shropshire, Itzik Galili and Roy Asap.
Since 2013, he has pursued a freelance career based in Amsterdam, collaborating with a wide range of choreographers and directors in all Europe and abroad, including La Veronal, Dunja Jocić, Eyal Dadon, Arno Schuitemaker, and Anouk van Dijk & Falk Richter, Diego Tortelli, among many others.
AFI PLATFORM
organizes workshops with international choreographers and artists working in the field of contemporary dance and performing arts.
The workshops take place over the weekend, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Some workshops require a basic technical background, while others are open-access and available to artists and students.
