Improv has been a welcoming space for diverse neurotypes for as long as the art form has existed, but information about our brains and how they work has long been missing from traditional education. ADHD, Autistic, and other divergent brains have gifts and challenges that affect all aspects of performance, from the way we think to how we move, speak, and experience emotion. In this workshop, educator and improviser Theresa Weiler will de-mystify the aspects of our brains that swerve from the typical while leading exercises and games that work WITH our unique brains, empowering us as performers, players, and teammates.
