Workshop: Islamic Geometry for Beginners (watercolour)
About this Event
In this practical introduction to Islamic geometry, construct a pattern using a compass and ruler and create a painting to take home with you.
You will be guided by tutor Safira Ali to draw a historical pattern from tiles in Turkey, a classic 6-fold star pattern.
During the session, participants will be guided step-by-step how to draw a geometric template, and create your own composition. You will then transfer this to watercolour paper. The session will include an opportunity to explore watercolour painting techniques, which you can then use to create your own painting.
No prior experience is required.
All materials are included in the price as well as tea, coffee and biscuits.
