This workshop features exercises that will help you go from feeling frustrated that you’re trapped in a bad scene to being excited that everything you’ve done is a tool to get you back to a state of play.

People loved watching Houdini because though it looked impossible for him to escape, he inspired confidence in them that he would. So let’s build that confidence both in ourselves and in the audience, and let’s turn fears to thrills.

About the Instructor: PJ Nally (he/him) takes pure joy in improvising. Seven years ago, he tried improv for the first time and realized it was a lot more fun than the Masters in Public Administration he was pursuing, so he kept coming back to it. Once he discovered that you could improvise entire plays and musicals, he knew he'd never stop.

PJ currently performs in New York City with Hell Yeah!, The Daily Harold, Easily Annoyed, and Magnet Theater house team Middle Brain. He’s studied with some of the best improvisers on earth and never wants to stop learning. Also, he’s 6’2” and not afraid to throw his limbs around to make people laugh
