Want to become a stronger facilitator?(Or if it's new to you, how to facilitate in the first place?)
This event is open to anyone who wants to become a stronger improv exercise/game facilitator — whether you plan to use that as a team member, coach, workshop facilitator, or instructor.
Learn about the most common improv facilitation pitfalls and how to avoid them. Learn how to make a safe learning environment, encourage community, and effectively cover content.
You’ll learn some guidelines for running effective exercises, including:
“Next, we’ll do X”
“Show, don’t tell”
“One focus”
“Specify the order”
“Reflections”.
You’ll learn what these are, how to do them effectively, and most importantly WHY these are critical to effective facilitation.
Everyone is invited, whether you’re just curious about how improv is taught, starting out with coaching, or have years of improv teaching experience. It’s a great chance to practice facilitation skills in a supportive space.
