WORKSHOP | CONSCIOUSNESS - LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS

Location: Brisbane Theosophical Society | 355 Wickham Terrace, Spring Hill

• We will visit the theosophical teachings concerning Consciousness, as given in the new psychology of Annie Besant’s A Study in Consciousness.
• We will touch on the great questions of consciousness and spirit; the development of morality and ethics, the struggle of right and wrong, good and evil; the struggle of desire and thought; and the evolution of awareness.
• We will attempt to understand the evolution of life and to see a journey of the Monad (one) traced in the mirror of relationships, leading to a condition in which consciousness is free of limitation.
  Simon O’Rourke is the Education Coordinator for the Theosophical Society in Australia and Editor of Theosophy in Australia. With decades of service, he has also served as a national lecturer and held leadership roles across numerous lodges and groups within the Society. An experienced speaker, he has presented widely in Australia and internationally on key theosophical texts and ideas, and has shared these teachings through his weekly radio program PhilosophyTheosophy in Sydney.
