About this Event

This weekly four-part workshop series on Sundays in July, facilitated by Nopal Reyes, engages climate change through various lenses: emotions, art, science and action. In each workshop we take a hands-on, community-oriented approach to communicating climate change so that we can help foster climate discussions in our personal lives. The workshop series concludes with a field trip on July 26 to a local forest, where we take our learning into the field and see what resiliency looks like in nature. Reservations on the field trip bus will be open to those who attend at least one of the workshops on July 5, 12 or 19.

NOTE: The program takes place in the Latino Room (lower level).

Nopal Reyes is Climate Change Community Engagement Program Manager of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. He is an environmental educator, naturalist and community weaver devoted to environmental health, climate justice, and collective care in ecosystems and human communities. Combining ecological science with relationship-based engagement, he leads programs that invite curiosity, joy and a sense of belonging in the outdoors.

This event is part of Everybody’s Climate 2026: Connect with others to address the climate crisis in ways that are meaningful to you, from poetry and music to science and practical action.
