This highly interactive foundational workshop explores the impact of trauma in our communities and equips participants with practical, trauma-informed and healing-centered strategies to foster safety, resilience, and well-being. Informed by the experiences and insights of people impacted by trauma, the session highlights what helps, what harms, and how to prevent further injury while building on individual and community strengths. Participants learn core principles of trauma-informed and culturally responsive care, strengthen their capacity to support others without causing additional harm, and develop skills that promote connection, collective care, and sustainable healing across diverse communities.
