Class Descriptions
Beginner Cuban Salsa Rueda - 8 weeks
Learn this vibrant group dance where dancers switch partners in a circle to the call of a leader. In the first half of the class participants will learn the foundation moves of Guapea, Dile que no/Dame, Vacila, Exhibela, and Enchufla. In the second half of the class we will be putting these moves together to form more advanced combinations that will allow you to join rueda dances at social events. No partner or prior experience is needed—just bring your enthusiasm and be ready to have fun! Taught by Vito Garcia
Advanced Cuban Salsa Rueda - 8 weeks
Dancers who already know the foundation rueda moves as well as some combinations are welcome to join this class where we will explore advanced figures and elevate our technique, partnering skills and musicality. No Partner needed. Taught by Vito Garcia
All-Levels Cuban Son Dance - 6 weeks
Discover the beauty and elegance of Cuban Son, a rich dance that blends African and Spanish music traditions and influenced modern day salsa. This all-levels class focuses on contratiempo timing, musicality, and partner connection while exploring classic Son patterns and styling. Knowledge of basic salsa steps is helpful. No partner needed. Taught by Juan Garcia
Intermediate Cuban Salsa Partnering (Casino) - 6 weeks
For dancers who know the basics of Cuban salsa (guapea, vacilala, enchufla, dile que no). This series builds confidence and connection through leading and following skills, refining frame, timing, and communication while exploring playful variations. No partner required. Taught by Vito Garcia
