Adults & teens 14+ will get a first-hand look at the Little Theatre audition process in this fun, no-judgment workshop. From filling out audition forms to reading for a play and singing & dancing for a musical, you'll go through the steps and see how easy auditioning for The Little Theatre can be! You will not be judged on any of your mock auditions, but helpful tips & hints for auditioning will be given at each station.Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes for the choreography part of the workshop. If you'd like to practice the song portion of the audition ahead of time, here are the selections we will be using:
Soprano: "Will He Like Me?" from She Loves Me ...
Alto: "Nobody Does It Like Me" from Seesaw ... (start at :35)
or Alto: "There's a Fine Line" from Avenue Q ...
Tenor: "Ten Minutes Ago" from Cinderella ...
Baritone/Bass: "Soon It's Gonna Rain" from The Fantasticks ... (start at :50-2:24)
Young female: "I Know It's Today" from Shrek ... (up to 1:25)
Unlike our regular auditions, everyone is asked to arrive at 6 pm.
