ArtHouse Derevo announces the next session of masterclasses with Anton Adasinsky
A unique premiere with the participants of Derevo ArtHouse at the International Mime Festival.

"...A man speaks. You hear the Word and see his body movement.
Does it match? Not always. And while we are responsible for the accuracy of the Word, body language is much more diverse and honest. Therefore there is a visible movement and an invisible, hidden but senseable movement. Which allows you to either believe the other person you are talking to - or not.
Pantomime is first of all the art of Purity. And it is a brevity where the poetry of movement rediscovers value and meaning in today's littered world.....

We will touch on several topics
1.
The Art of Justified Silence.
This skill is surprisingly skilled by people who understand the value of every word they say. Kings, politicians, diplomats, presidents and other representatives of power structures, whose every word can strongly influence the surrounding society.
And the second world of silent people, it is those who interest us more.
Why do we want to be near them? Why is it easy and good with them?
And what is wrong with the chatterers?
2.
"Animal grace."
In animals, (unlike humans) - there are no meaningless movements. Pose of hunting, love, chase, rest, morning washing, waiting, caress ....
Everything corresponds to the situation, is precisely interpretable, and causes envy and adoration of the ideal nature.
3.
"Pantomime in Art."
Many and many masters have often balked at the imperfection of the word, and have turned to this great art.
Etienne Decroux, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Marcel Carné, Michelangelo Antonioni, Charlie Chaplin, Cocteau and many others....

We will watch great examples, study them and repeat them.
And finally we will understand why DEREVO doesn't use words on stage."

After 5 days of intensive work with artists from different countries Anton Adasinsky will show the final part of the work - a performance created during these days in Derevo ArtHouse.
Absolutely new. It is based on the ideas of the artists who created the material during this week. Yes. It's pantomime. But not just masterful hand and body movements. These are author's etudes filled with absolutely personal author's material.
One of the objectives of these days was exactly that - self-realisation, use of personal experience and knowledge. After all, it is not make-up and costume or marvellous light and music that ultimately attracts the audience. What is most important is what happens in the artist's soul. Isn't it? And that is what you will see and feel.

This workshop is designed for those interested in physical movement theatre, as well as for advanced actors, singers and musicians who want to improve their acting in movement.
