It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the opening event and exhibition of Works of Art | Live Auction, Webb’s premier art auction, where the full catalogue will be presented in Auckland following a preview exhibition in Wellington, ahead of the live auction on 24 August.
This curated exhibition brings together an exceptional selection of museum-quality, investment-level artworks by some of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most significant artists. Highlights include Ian Scott’s Lattice No. 53, Robyn Kahukiwa’s Ngā Tāmariki a Tāne, John Drawbridge’s Untitled (1970), Séraphine Pick’s Guru, and Paul Dibble’s Monument to Explorers. Together, these works speak to the depth and range of contemporary and modern art practice in New Zealand, spanning abstraction, sculpture, figurative painting and deeply symbolic explorations of culture, identity and place.
As the final presentation of the collection before the sale, this exhibition offers collectors and art enthusiasts the opportunity to experience the complete catalogue in person before live bidding begins.
