🔎 How can scientific freedom, curiosity and research excellence help Europe remain globally competitive, strengthen its societal resilience, and uphold democratic values in increasingly complex world?

Join us Erasmus University Rotterdam and ISS Erasmus on 8 July in The Hague for multi-stakeholders' dialogues with Professor Maria Leptin, President of the European Research Council (ERC), at our high-level event: Mission FP10: Curiousity, Values and Freedom at the Core of Europe's Future.

At pivotal moment for Europe, when the next EU Budget (the Multiannual Financial Framework) 2028–2034 and the 10th Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP10) are being negotiated, the choices made today will shape Europe's capacity to innovate, remain competitive, strengthen its resilience and safeguard our democratic values.

Bringing together academic leaders, policymakers, funders, ERC laureates, innovators and industry representatives, this multi-stakeholder dialogue will explore how to create the conditions for the transformative power of science to flourish, and how curiosity-driven, human centred and values-based research can fuel Europe’s resilience, strengthen its strategic autonomy and help secure a thriving, inclusive future.

Alongside Prof. Dr Maria Leptin, the programme features distinguished speakers including Nobel Laureate Prof. Dr Ben Feringa, Prof. Dr Marcel Levi (President of NWO), Rianne Letschert (Minister of Education, Culture and Science of Netherlands), Prof. Dr Annelien Bredenoord (President of Erasmus University's Executive Board), Tjerk Opmeer (Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy) and Susanne Caarls (Ministry of Education, Culture and Science).

Whether you're a researcher, funder, policymaker or industry leader, join the conversation and help shape informed choices for Europe's future.
