Build your confidence. Boost your skills. Step into what’s next. 💼✨
Workforce Workshops is a practical, encouraging series designed to help you take your next step—whether you’re landing your first job, changing careers, or re-entering the workforce. Each session focuses on a different piece of the job-search puzzle, with real-world tips, hands-on practice, and one-on-one guidance.
Presented in partnership with the Kentucky Career Center, these workshops connect you with tools, local resources, and supportive professionals who want to see you succeed. Come ready to learn, ask questions, and leave with action steps you can use right away.
Psst... To get the most out of each session, please bring a valid ID and a computer, tablet, or other device. (A library device can be provided for use if needed!)
UPCOMING TOPICS:
📄 JANUARY: Résumé Development | Presented by KCC on Broadway
Learn how to build a résumé that gets noticed! Explore what employers are really looking for, how to highlight your strengths (even if you have limited experience), and how to tailor your résumé for different jobs. You’ll review examples, get tips on formatting and keywords, and have a chance to ask specific questions about your own résumé or get started on a brand-new one.

🗣️ FEBRUARY: Interview Skills & Mock Interviews | Presented by Jason from the KCC Cedar Office
Walk into your next interview with confidence. This session covers common interview questions, how to talk about your experience, and strategies for handling tricky topics like gaps in employment or changing careers. Then, put those skills into practice with optional mock interviews so you can get feedback, build confidence, and polish your answers in a low-pressure setting.

🌐 MARCH: Navigating LinkedIn & Online Job Sites | Presented by LaRee from the Kentucky Career Center
Make the internet work for you in your job search. Learn how to set up or strengthen your LinkedIn profile, search and apply for jobs online, and spot red flags in job postings. You’ll also explore other major job sites and tools, with time to ask questions and get help navigating applications, settings, and search filters.

🎓 APRIL: Adult Education & Training Opportunities | Presented by Kentucky Career Center partners
Discover the many paths you can take to continue your education and advance your career. Browse tables with information about local colleges, training programs, apprenticeships, and trade schools, plus learn about financial aid resources like FAFSA. This is a great chance to ask questions, compare options, and explore what’s possible—whether you’re finishing a degree, learning a trade, or starting something completely new.
