Join us on Saturday, January 24th, 2026 from 2-5PM for an afternoon where art meets action!
‘Words That Feed’ is a community poetry slam hosted by poet Cherokee Allyse Sampson, bringing together local poets, neighbors, and community members to turn words into meaningful impact.
Venue space provided generously by PHunkadelic, located at 2790 W Third Street in Farmville, VA.
Entry “fee” to attend: One can or box of non-perishable food! All donations benefit FACES Food Pantry, supporting local families and individuals in need in and around Farmville.
We will have Raffle prizes from local businesses!
Raffle tickets for those items will “cost” a “fee” of two cans or two boxes of non-perishable food! This way you can support Faces Food Pantry while entering to win prizes donated by local businesses.
Call for Poets: Local poets and spoken-word artists are invited to sign up and perform.
ALL experience levels are welcome.
ALL styles and forms of poetry are welcome!
Call for Local Businesses: We are seeking businesses wishing to donate raffle items and partner with us in supporting FACES Food Pantry while gaining community visibility!
