WORD- NEW TO WORD - Wellington School Holiday Camps
We are so excited about WORD Camps! Your little shredder is about to be part of the coolest thing in town- WORD! For those of you that are new to WORD, you are just going to love it.
All Holiday camps are split into age groups.
7-9 year olds
10-12 year olds
13-17 years olds
There are many different holiday camps on offer at WORD:
“New to WORD” - New to mountain biking? This one is for you! We’ll get you set up and confident to get riding on dirt!
“Know your Local” - We set off exploring the local trails of the region!
“Shuttle Day” - Vinnie the WORD van drives us to different locations for the day!
“Girls Adventure in the Hills” - Two days of riding incl Wellington's famous Skyline track then along te kopahou ridges to the Rugged South Coast!
"Lets get Technical Camp" If you want to get into more technical riding on Grade 4+ trails this is for you! Like Know your Local, but a little spicier.
The main focus of these camps is ADVENTURE! We’ll also learn a few new skills and definitely make great friends, There will be plenty of time for snacks!
NEW TO WORD DETAILS:
This is a 2 day camp. This program is co-ed and aimed at kids that are new to WORD or new to mountain biking. We'll have more time to focus on the fundamental skills and really get them dialled in! This will lay amazing foundations for future WORD sessions and your mountain bike journey!
Groups will still be split on the first morning into abilities/fitness/interests on the day, with 1:8 ratios.
14-15 April (8:30-11.30am)
Day one meet at Makara Peak (Muds Cycles Karori)
Day two meet at Mt Victoria (Hataitai Velodrome)

Cost: $100 for the 2 days includes:
-Experienced and super fun WORD mountain bike instructor (1:8 ratio)
