We're back and Bach is back too!
Actors Improv starts our 43rd season with "Word Jazz," a mashup of improvised theater and music. Inspired by Ken Nordine’s eponymous 1957 album, "Word Jazz" is comprised of scenes based on improvised monologues and live music by a quintet. Spontaneous songs also figure into the mixture and it’s all initiated by audience suggestions.
Parker Bach returns to the cast after a year's hiatus and is joined by Hailey Hill, director Greg Hohn, Dana Marks, and Steve Scott. The band is Ricky Bloomfield (tenor sax), Rob Ladd (drums), Robbie Link (bass), musical director Glenn Mehrbach (piano), and Grammy nominee Scott Sawyer (guitar).
The show is rated PG-13. Sharp 9 offers adult beverages and other refreshments at its bar.
