Enjoy this hands-on basketry experience, guided by talented Folk Artist, Niki Giberson, as you create a basket traditionally used during a natural wool cleaning process. In the past, these baskets would be filled with raw wool and placed into a moving stream, today they act as the perfect storage basket. Use your creativity while making and deciding what to use this beautiful and practical basket for.
The Jersey Shore Folklife Center is a cosponsored project of Tuckerton Seaport & Baymen’s Museum and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
