Woofers comedy club is back! Featuring some of the best comedic talents in live comedy right on your doorstep here on the Fylde Coast. Hosted by our very own regular MC Phil Walker, you are pretty much guaranteed a great night of side-splitting fun!
Headlining this month we are thrilled to be bringing a true comedy genius to the Lowther, Mr Terry Alderton.
Terry Alderton is one of Britain’s finest comedians and was nominated for the prestigious Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Festival. An astounding act that showcases exuberant physical comedy, extraordinary caricatures and stunning impressions, Terry leaves his audience exhilarated and exhausted with laughter.
He has performed at comedy festivals all over the globe, including the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, New Zealand Comedy Festival, the Edinburgh Comedy Festival, Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival, and the Dublin and Galway Comedy Festivals.
Recognisable as the character ‘Terry Spraggan’ in Eastenders, Terry’s TV appearances include Live At The Apollo (BBC1), Dave’s One Night Stand (Dave), Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Road Show (BBC1), The Stand Up Show (BBC2), Live At The Comedy Store (Comedy Central) and the Just For Laughs Comedy Gala (BBC).

Alex Boardman is one of the most sought after acts in the country due to his ability to interact with any audience and to seemingly conjure something out of nothing. His free flowing style and natural charm breeze through in performances. However there is often a hard-hitting edge to his material that acts as counter balance to this. Given this ability for ad-libbing and ease with the audience, it is no wonder that Alex often finds himself acting as compere. His unique brand of “Flattery and abuse” as one journalist put it, is always popular, as although he dances round the edge of what it is considered PC to say in public, the lack of malice and sense of fun in what he does, means that everyone gets to laugh. John has recently amassed a huge online following with over 600,000 followers across the social media platforms with millions of likes on his content.
