Under the guidance of experimental archaeologist and wood worker, Marc Cox, learn how to safely cleave, carve and shape green timber.
You’ll use a range of hand tools to turn a log into a finished, complete board game.
Spending time in and around the Anglo Saxon Hall, we’ll talk about how people in the past made things out of wood; the tools, techniques and finished products.
Suitable for ages 12-16.
Booking required, £15
All young people under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. (Accompanying adult does not need a ticket).
