What to Expect

WoodsWoman is an immersive overnight experience designed to deepen your confidence in the wild while fostering connection with the land, yourself, and a supportive community of women. Over the course of the weekend, you’ll engage in hands-on survival skills like firecraft, shelter-building, knife skills, and foraging, while also weaving in intentional ceremony, dreamwork, and full moon rituals.

Expect a balance of structured learning and spacious time to settle into the rhythm of nature, with moments for quiet reflection, storytelling, and connection around the fire. You’ll set up your own camp, bring your own breakfasts and lunches, and share a group dinner under the stars. Whether you're stepping into the backcountry for the first time or seeking to refine your skills, this weekend will offer both challenge and renewal in an inclusive, supportive space.

What to Bring:
  • Camping Gear: Tent, sleeping bag, and sleeping mat
  • Clothing: Weather-appropriate clothing for outdoor activities (layers are recommended)
  • Footwear: Comfortable shoes for hiking and outdoor exploration
  • Personal Items: Water bottle, personal snacks, hygiene needs, and any personal foraging tools (e.g., gloves, harvest bags)
  • Notebook: A journal for reflection and note-taking (optional)
  • Meals: Bring your own lunches, plus snacks as needed
  • Optional: Camera or binoculars for wildlife observation, any favorite outdoor gear for comfort, art supplies, musical instruments, ceremonial tools, etc.
  • DO NOT BRING: Alcohol or illicit drugs as this is an intentional learning environment, not a party

What is Provided:
  • Meals: Organic, healthy group dinner on Saturday evening and a simple nutritious breakfast on Sunday morning
  • Accommodations: Campsite with shared spaces (bring your own camping gear)
  • Instruction: Expert-led skills workshops and ceremonies
  • Materials: Access to all necessary materials for crafting

We’ve designed this intensive to be a fully immersive experience with everything you need to explore wilderness skills and nature connection in community! Just bring your gear, your curiosity, and a readiness for adventure.

Ansley Roberts is an Appalachian-born, desert-grown wanderer with more tree sap running through her veins than blood. A trained herbalist, wilderness rites of passage guide, and dream tender, she guides others to their belonging on this Earth and the stories in their bones. Since co-founding Rainwalk Rewild in 2023, Ansley creates experiences for youth and adults to connect with nature, community, and themselves for a regenerative future. Through primitive skills, foraging, and the language of the land, Ansley believes that thriving is about more than just skills—it is about relationship, reverence, and remembering.
