Come join us at Deep Roots for a cozy evening of wine and pie pairings!We're thrilled to welcome Susie Mickler of Schmoo-Pies, a local artisan baker whose love of pie started with a passion for chocolate and a desire to bring a little joy to her community. What began as a way to share her delicious fudge pies has blossomed into a business known for its homemade specialty pies.
Susie will be bringing four of her delicious pies, expertly paired with four of our favorite wines by our Wine Educator, Kimberle. It's not your typical dessert pairing! This is a unique opportunity to explore how different flavors and textures in pie can complement and enhance a wine's character.
The pairings for the evening are:
~ Lemon Chess Pie with Off-Dry Riesling
~ Spinach & Onion Quiche with Chardonnay
~ Southern BBQ Quiche with Pinot Noir
~ Fudge Pie with Merlot
This event is a casual and fun way to learn more about food and wine pairing while enjoying some incredible homemade pies. Space is limited, so be sure to get your tickets early!
