On Saturday October 18th, the Woods Hole Child Center will be hosting its 38th Annual Clothing Sale at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church Hall (near the Falmouth Village Green). This is an exciting event with something for the whole family: outerwear, professional attire, shoes, halloween costumes, toys, books, and clothing for all occasions/ sizes.
Doors open at 9am. Everything is priced very reasonably, most items between $1-$10. The sale ends with a “Fill a bag for $5” blitz from 1pm-3pm. This is a very popular part of the event and many who shop earlier in the day return to fill a bargain bag. Proceeds from the sale benefit the Child Center, which is the oldest operating preschool in the area.
The Woods Hole Child Center has been a staple in the lives of many Falmouth and greater Cape Cod residents. Many volunteers and alumni families pitch in and clothing donations are always welcome. The Child Center accepts gently used clothing/ toys/ books, and they are happy to sell items on a consignment with a 50/50 split. Clothing drop off is scheduled for Friday October 17th from 9am-1pm at St Barnabas Hall.
The WHCC invites other local charitable organizations to make arrangements to gather needed items toward the end of the sale, sharing the spirit of cooperation and community at the heart of the event. Please contact the Child Center to pre-arrange a special pick up.
