Every year, Woodridge and Lisle hold a remembrance ceremony to honor those who have been affected by the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Those in attendance included representatives from the Mayors' Offices, the Woodridge Police Department, the Lisle Police Department, VFW Post 1578, and the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District (LWFD).
Please join the Villages of Woodridge and Lisle for this Remembrance Ceremony which will include posting of the colors, singing of the National Anthem, an invocation, a moment of silence, a 21 gun salute, a bagpipe performance of Amazing Grace, Taps, and brief remarks.
This event will take place outside in Kagann Plaza/Town Centre at 5 Plaza Drive in Woodridge, IL. In the case of inclement weather, this event will be moved inside the William F. Murphy Jr. Village Hall also located at 5 Plaza Drive in Woodridge, IL.
