WoodmenLife Railroad Excursion - Springdale, AR to Van Buren, AR

NOTE: This is event is exclusively for WoodmenLife members and non-member guests who are age 55 and older.

Jump aboard for an all-day train ride excursion from Springdale, AR to Van Buren, AR on Saturday, October 24, 2026. Enjoy riding in a 1920's vintage car with reversible seating and windows on all sides for the perfect view. This day-long, 134-mile round trip excursion takes you through the ruggedly beautiful Boston Mountain range of the Ozarks, over three valley trestles and through the 1,700-foot long Winslow tunnel for some of the most breathtaking scenery you are likely to see in ‘The Natural State’. The trip includes a three-hour layover in historic downtown Van Buren where you can enjoy lunch on your own in one of several local cafes, shop along Main Street and enjoy the rich architecture of the historic downtown buildings.

Tickets are $30 per person, plus a small processing fee. The ticket includes the round-trip train excursion , along with snacks and beverages. Lunch is not included and will be at each attendee's own expense.

The train will promptly depart at 8:00 a.m. and return to Springdale between 4:30 - 5:00 p.m. All guests should arrive and be checked-in by 7:30 a.m.
