Calling all Woodland Trail families! Whether you are a brand-new family considering joining our troop or a returning member, you are invited to our Woodlands Family Fun Day. This special event is crafted for our K–5 boys and their entire families to bond, play, and experience the adventure of Trail Life together.

Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Stevens Creek Nature Preserve, 15700 Thompson Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227
Who is Invited: All registered Woodland Trailmen, prospective new families, parents, and siblings!
What to Bring: A bring-your-own family picnic lunch and drinks, comfortable hiking shoes, and your best Trail Life smile!
🎈 What to Expect: The Day's Adventures
🐍 Reptiles & Amphibians Lesson: An interactive, hands-on animal lesson led by facility trail guides.
🥾 Guided Nature Hike: Exploring scenic trails, local creeks, vegetation, and native wildlife.
🗺️ Geocache Rock Hunt: A high-tech treasure hunt along the trails using handheld GPS units.
🧺 Family Picnic: A casual, family-style lunch to connect with existing and prospective troop families (please bring your own food and drinks).
🍫 S'mores & Firepit: Wrapping up the day gathered together around a cozy firepit.
