Woodbury County Candidate Forum
This free, nonpartisan forum is open to the public and provides community members with an opportunity to hear directly from candidates, learn more about issues affecting Woodbury County, and become better informed before heading to the polls.
Candidates invited to participate include:
* Board of Supervisors – District 2: Daniel A. Bittinger II (R, incumbent) and Jody House (D)
* Board of Supervisors – District 4: Kolby DeWitt (R) and Brittney Wilson (D)
* County Attorney: James D. Loomis (R, incumbent) and Benjamin Mulford (D)
A League of Women Voters of Sioux City member will moderate the two-hour forum. Candidates will begin with two-minute opening statements, followed by questions from a panel consisting of representatives from LWVSC and local media and a Western Iowa Tech student.
During the second half of the forum, audience members will have the opportunity to submit written questions for the candidates. The evening will conclude with closing statements from the candidates.
Can’t attend in person? The Western Iowa Tech Community College Mass Media Department will livestream the forum on its YouTube channel and provide the feed to KCAU. The forum’s audio will also be broadcast live on WITCC’s radio station. LWVSC will share links on its Facebook page so community members can choose how they would like to watch or listen.
Candidate participation is subject to availability and confirmation.
Learn. Engage. Vote.
Whether attending in person, watching online, or listening live, we invite Woodbury County voters to take advantage of this opportunity to hear from the candidates and prepare to make an informed choice on Election Day.
