Join local craftsman David Yule to learn the traditional craft of Wood Whittling in the peaceful setting of Wardown Park's Arboretum
About this Event

Dave has found wood whittling a great way to improve well-being as well as being an enjoyable craft to learn. In these sessions, we will teach you how to use carving knives safely and set an appropriate project each week to help you build and develop your whittling skills. The aim is to give you the confidence to continue whittling in your own time, as well as to enjoy the company of others in the peaceful surroundings of Wardown Park's Arboretum.

These on-going sessions run every Tuesday morning, starting 14 April.

Please note: These sessions are for adults 18+ only. No prior experience is necessary to join any of the sessions.

During each session, hot/cold drinks will be provided, and all tools and equipment will be supplied by Dave.

We encourage you to book onto several sessions to help develop your skills, though this is not compulsory.

We hope these regular gatherings offer a welcoming space for local nature and craft enthusiasts to learn, connect, and build a creative community.
