Dubbed the UK's answer to Brothers Osborne, Wood Burnt Red, the 2023 BCMA Best Band award nominee, returns to the FortyFive Vinyl Cafe in York on Saturday, 23rd November. After their previous sell-out performance, which delivered unparalleled energy and good vibes, they were eagerly invited back. This performance will likely be their final show of the year, a perfect opportunity to catch the lads as they showcase new material along with fan favourites. Expect to hear hits like "Dead and Gone," which received airplay on Planet Rock, and the recent crowd-pleaser "Bartender," a standout at summer festivals including the prestigious Black Deer festival in Kent, headlined by Sheryl Crow and Joe Bonamassa. They recieved a standing ovation after their set on the Caffe Nero stage.
Wood Burnt Red, despite their Southern American look, are a distinctive UK country rock band. Formed in the summer of 2020, the band emerged from the pandemic with frontman and songwriter Tom Franklin's country compositions, born from nights spent with an acoustic guitar, pen, paper, and a drop of whiskey. Over 15 years of musical collaboration in various forms have honed their craft, culminating in a group that has been captivating audiences across the Midlands and South West with their original writing and dynamic performances.
With eight original tracks released, Wood Burnt Red are gearing up for another monumental summer of live music. Their upcoming appearance at The Long Road festival, one of the UK's premier country and Americana gatherings, is a testament to their rising profile. Don’t miss out on what promises to be an unforgettable night of music and energy at FortyFive Vinyl Cafe.
