Wonders of the Night Sky with Mike Lynch

Join acclaimed astronomer Mike Lynch on a fun celestial journey as he provides up-close views of star clusters, nebulae, planets, galaxies and other wonders in our autumn skies through the lenses of his giant reflecting telescopes—some of the largest mobile telescopes in Minnesota. You’ll get to know constellations like “The Big Bear,” “Cygnus the Swan,” “Pegasus the Winged Horse,” as well as learn the fascinating stories behind them.
The evening will start off with an indoor presentation, and then shift to quality viewing time outside under the heavens. The universe is waiting! Make the stars your old friends. You are welcome to bring your own binoculars or telescopes, and bring lawn chairs and a blanket.
Mike will provide complete handout packages with a September star map for the entire sky, individual constellation charts, website and app recommendations, a telescope buying guide, and more.
This event is included with regular site admission.
