Learn how to better manage those cotton candy highs and the screams of a dropping blood sugar. Life with diabetes can feel like you are on a roller coaster, without the fun, and it is time to get the full package. Meet our leaders and other type 1s dealing with the same issues you do. We will work together as a team, strategizing about how to keep our blood sugars within range while enjoying a thrilling day at the theme park.August 3, 2024 9am-4pm

This event is open to all ages. Whatever your level of thrill - Extreme, Moderate or Mild, this park has something for everyone. We even have our Planet Snoopy group for kids under 8!
ICD hosts a lunch spread each year, which brings the whole group back together. Family members of our youth are welcome to meet us for lunch and season pass holders can buy into lunch for $15.
We are able to support all food allergies and dietary restrictions - our Founder Chris Jarvis is Celiac and T1D!
ICD is a leader in exercise and diabetes with experts in the science who talk the talk and athletes who walk the walk. We’ve hosted thousands of type 1s in everything from a fun day of sport to week-long camps and extreme challenges. We focus on how to manage diabetes effectively in the midst of real life challenges and use active programs to bring strategies to life. If you’re looking to share an afternoon of activity, build on diabetes skills or see why ICD has a 100% participant response rate for motivation to live better with diabetes, come pay us a visit.
Our leaders include passionate and world class athletes who can provide participants with knowledge of life with T1D that can help them reach their goals. Participants will get active as a group and dive into a variety of exercise while managing diabetes together.
The Program
9:15am Youth Drop off/Arrival at Picnic Area outside and to the right of the main gates
9:45am Kids break up into groups by thrill level with ICD leaders and peer mentors and hit the park!
Parents are invited to enjoy the park on their own or drop off kids and come back for lunch.
1:00pm LUNCH, Carb is Right at Picnic Area outside and to the right of the main gates
1:45pm Kids can re-join their morning group with ICD leaders and bring their families along, or families can go off on their own. It's up to you!
4:00pm Meet up on bridge in front of the Mountain. Wrap up with ICD Team/Review of Diabetes Strategies/Group Photo
Program Ends! Head home or stay at the park as a family! Your ticket is good until the park closes.
