Wonderful World of Watercolor!

Experience the fun and relaxation of watercolor painting.

Don’t let this medium intimidate you!

Watercolor can be loose and ethereal or as sketchy and illustrative as you want it, as it is a versatile medium. BUT Learning some basic principles is important to gain a better grip (pun intended) on the subject.

PLAN:

• After a brief intro, I will do a basic demo session
• We will practice with various mini exercises; wet-on-wet vs. wet-on-dry techniques
• We move on to create a simple composition you can take home with you!
• If you are a little more advanced or have had previous watercolor experience, this may be a good refresher, and you are still welcome to join us. We will be going at a beginner pace.

What to bring/Supplies List:

• Watercolor palette (any color combination is fine)
• Watercolor paper (At least one 9 x12 sheet ; can be loose sheets or pad but make sure it is “watercolor paper” (cold pressed is best for this session).
• Medium-Large round brush (size 12/14/16 all work)
• Medium mop brush (optional)
• Any pencil + soft eraser
• Small water spray bottle ( I will have extra on hand)
• Small hand towel or paper napkins ( I will have extra on hand)
• An open mind and willing to have fun !
