About this Event
Come learn about climate resilient landscaping with this 3 hour hands-on workshop. You will learn about what native Santa Monica Mountains plants are good additions to your yard and can withstand our changing climate. Don’t have a garden? No worries! You’ll still gain a lot of valuable knowledge that you can help implement and spread throughout your community.
What to Bring
- Closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
- Notebook or device for notes
- Curiosity and willingness to get your hands dirty

The main entrance is at Via Goleta and Lynn Road, Newbury Park, CA, 91320
From the Ventura Fwy (101) to Lynn Rd exit. South on Lynn Rd 5.25 miles to Via Goleta. Park entrance is on the left.
1. Park in the final, lower, bottom visitor parking lot: Car Park for Sycamore Canyon
2. Walk past the left side of the bathrooms, past the Eucalyptus grove.
3. Walk into and past the horse stable area, and into Rancho Sierra Vista Nursery.
