Unstoppable together. No one walks alone 💜Enough is enough, join us at Henrietta Park on 4 July to stand together and be heard. Help us send the clear message that the continued lack of support for women at end of life is not acceptable.
We are asking you to help us raise vital funds to ensure Dorothy House is able to walk alongside women at the end of life. Women who are dying alone, dying in poverty, women already taking on the majority of care roles.
Help Dorothy House to be there providing expert advice during the darkest times, to hold hands through the lonely hours, to be the shoulder to cry on when you feel at your most vulnerable.
Last year in the UK 29% of working age women died in poverty, and 15% of women at pension age died in poverty (Dying in Poverty Report, 2025).
We are playing our part to hold the government to account in the push for LONG TERM sustainable funding for end of life care. Dorothy House still only receives 20% of our funding from the government. This is not acceptable.
Please join us to help raise vital funds for hospice care. With your help we can make a difference today.
£42 could fund a full hour of care on our Inpatient Unit for a patient receiving essential care, symptom control and pain relief.
£75 could fund an expert counsellor to run a support group session for young adults with a life-limiting illness, helping them feel less alone.
£100 could fund 4 hours of care, delivered at a patient’s home, during the night, by a compassionate, skilled and experienced Hospice at Home carer.
During sign up you can choose your distance: 5km accessible walk or 12km walk
🎟️ Early birds entry: £20
🎟️ Standard entry: £25
Celebrate in solidarity with us 💪
We promise this event will be a celebration, as we gather together in Henrietta Park with entertainment, food and drink.
On your return from the walk you will receive:
🥂 A welcome drink
🍴 Delicious hot food
🌅 A shared moment of reflection and celebration as night falls over Bath.
You will also hear from amazing inspirational female speakers:
Cara, Dorothy House patient
Sophie Broadfield, CEO of B&NES Council
Sarah Armit – Dorothy House Senior Sister
Carry a stone for those you love ❤️
On the day we will paint stones, and carry these with us. These will represent those we choose to remember, those we love and those we want to celebrate. On your return, as the sun sets, add your stone to the display at the end of the walk. This display is a powerful symbol that care is never carried alone.
Please join us and help us care for those that need us now.
For every goodbye. Every hug. Every memory. No one walks alone.
