This July, we walk for the women who hold our worlds together.
Across our communities, women provide and deliver the majority of care – as nurses, carers, daughters, partners, friends. And when someone is dying, it is so often a woman who quietly steps forward. Who rearranges her life. Who stays up through the night. Who carries the weight.
She does it with love. But she should never have to do it alone.
That’s why we’re launching the Dorothy House Women’s Walk: United in Care in Bath on 4 July.
A brand new event for Dorothy House in the heart of Bath 💜
A powerful new event in the heart of Bath, a celebration of the care women provide every single day, and a call to stand beside them in solidarity, strength and support.
We will walk side by side through our beautiful city. We will celebrate at sunset. And as the night draws in, we will stand together, because no woman should ever feel alone.

This walk will raise vital funds for Dorothy House. When the mantle of caring falls onto someone’s shoulders, Dorothy House must continue to be there. Providing unwavering support, from expert guidance, to compassionate direct care and practical assistance, Dorothy House stands alongside carers every step of the way, ensuring no one has to face the challenges alone.

Celebrating strength 💪
Before we set off, you’ll paint a stone with a word of strength, or the name of a woman you celebrate. At sunset, we’ll place them together in a growing public display, a powerful symbol that care is never carried alone.
As the sun sets over Bath, we’ll hear from inspiring female voices, share food and music, and stand together as night falls.
Because we know that night can be the loneliest time for carers. And in that moment, we will remind one another: You are not alone. We are walking beside you. Dorothy House is with you, every step of the way.
