Women's Silent Dance Party at Seascape Beach

Come join us for the final Silent Dance Party of the 2025 season!
For Whom:

Women, woman-identified humans, and friends beyond the binary are welcome. (For 20 people maximum.)

We’ll begin with a 30 to 40 minute warm-up that includes an opening circle, some playful guided movement, and group activities to cultivate laughter and connection. We’ll dance for about 70 minutes, and have a short closing circle before the bonfire and snacks. The "Silent Disco" headphones are provided and the dancing will be timed to conclude at sunset.

Snack packs provided with the bonfire: organic dark chocolate, organic pecans and organic dried mango. Healthy and tasty.

What will the music be?

This will be a collective playlist created in advance. All participants are encouraged to email me links for 1 -3 songs for the playlist by Thursday, October 9th and I arrange the flow of the playlist from our songs.

For your song selections, pick songs you love to dance to. This is an opportunity to share music you love. If you submit more than one song, you can have them be of different intensities— anything from ambient or downtempo, all the way up to our peak dance music. Everyone will have at least one song included in the playlist, the other songs depends on how much time is remaining and what works best in terms of flow. The music will start out slow then build up, and then slow down at the end again.

When do I need to submit the songs by?
I will create the flow for our playlist on the Friday before the dance. Please email your song selections to [email protected] anytime on or before Thursday, November 6th.

Where to meet:

We will meet at the water's edge at Seascape Beach, a little south of the main area. There is free public parking at the trailhead to the beach at Seascape Resort (1 Seascape Resort Dr, Aptos, CA 95003). All participants will receive an email with detailed information and photos on where to park and meet. I include a link with Google and Apple Maps right to the parking lot at the trailhead.

Seascape beach is big and beautiful with very few people, so it is an ideal location for a silent dance party. Park at the trailhead and walk down to the beach.

What is the walk to the beach like?

The walk from the parking lot to our spot at the beach will take about 15 - 20 minutes at a leisurely pace. From the Seascape Resort parking lot, the trail starts out as a dirt path and then turns into a paved path for the rest of the way down to the sand.

Timeline:

3 pm: The latest time to start walking down to our spot at Seascape Beach in order to arrive on time.

3:20 pm: Event Begins with an opening circle, and a playful guided movement warmup, and group activities.

4 pm (ish): Dancing begins

5:02 pm: Sunset, closing circle, bonfire and snack packs

6:30 Event Ends

7 pm: Back at your car

What to bring:

Water bottle

Clothing Layers

A towel or lightweight chair to sit on

A snack if you think you may get hungry.

Ticket sales will end at 12 noon on the day of the event to make sure participants receive the email with detailed information and photos on where to park and meet. It is recommended that you get your tickets by Thursday, November 6th to have your song(s) included in the playlist.
