Women's Music Industry Support Group

We're inviting women from all corners of the music industry - business, creative, touring, and PR - for a monthly support group. This is a safe and confidential space where you can share the highs and lows of your journey, be yourself, and connect with others who could become part of your support system. Each month, we’ll focus on a different topic, from jealousy to burnout to motherhood.

For December, our theme will be "Planning for 2025 and Beyond". Did you plan to quit your part-time job and dive into music full-time this year? Were you determined to land that publishing deal in 2024 or launch your own marketing or management agency? As the year wraps up, it's natural to reflect on the goals we set - and sometimes, the ones we didn’t quite reach.

But what happens when life throws unexpected challenges our way? How can we shift from self-criticism to creating realistic, flexible plans that propel us into 2025 and beyond? Join us as we explore strategies for setting manageable goals, adapting to the unexpected, and, most importantly, supporting one another in reaching our dreams.

Whether you choose to share or simply listen, rest assured that every participant signs a confidentiality agreement, ensuring that what’s said in the room stays in the room.

Free tea and coffee will be available, or BYOB, so you can settle in and make yourself at home.

Our first gathering was such a wonderful time of connection and community and we're excited to round out the year with one more! The discussion will be moderated by Femke Weidema - an award-winning songwriter, producer, and record label owner. Femke also serves on the boards of the Helping Music Foundation and the Recording Academy, and is a passionate advocate for women and mothers in music.
