Learn about important local women and pivotal moments in the struggle for equal rights, including Skokie's first resident doctor and the development of the first commercial contraceptive. This will be a casually paced walk with frequent stops to look at building exteriors. Recommended for ages 10+. Children must be accompanied by a paid adult. The route is about 1.6 miles long with a public bench available at many, but not all, stops. Tickets are $15 per person (children under 10 free with paid adult).
Walk-ins are welcome as unreserved space permits. Walks will take place in light rain. In the event of more severe weather, we may provide an indoor equivalent at the Skokie Heritage Museum or reschedule.
