Dr. Lucia McMahon, Professor in the Department of History, Philosophy, and Liberal Studies at William Paterson University, joins us for this month’s lecture at the Dey Mansion!The “happy revolution” was not in the American Revolution itself but rather the related developments that gave women access “to studies of a more elevated and elevating nature.”
This presentation will cover the educational journeys and intellectual aspirations of New Jersey women from this era.
