Women's Equality Day Luncheon 2026

Please join the Flint & Genesee Group's Women in Action (WIA) employee resource group and the Women's Leadership Committee for a luncheon event celebrating National Women's Equality Day.
We are pleased to welcome our speakers:
• Featured speaker: Carrie Edwards-Clemons, the first woman to hold a variety of positions, including Deputy Fire Chief for the City of Flint Fire Department, Fire Chief for the City of Lansing Fire Department, and president of the International Association of Black Professional Fire Fighters, Incorporated.
• Nancy Edwards, who worked for the Genesee County Parks and Recreation Commission for 24 years and now serves as the AFL-CIO Labor Liaison for the United Way of Genesee County.
• Jillian Macey, a command-level leader with the Office of the Genesee County Sheriff and only the second woman in the agency's history to hold the rank of captain.
Their work and dedication to empowerment are a testament to our theme, "Together We Will." We hope you can join us for this luncheon event, which will be sure to be inspiring, uplifting, and full of opportunities for connection!
