- includes meal, yoga, forest bathing, guided meditation sessions + intuitive art.
(You must preregister and this retreat must have FOUR participants to run)
Explanation of Our Day:
Opening Circle: Gather in community to meet one another, share our intention of the day and ground our practice.
Yoga + Guided Meditation: This will be a mixed level yoga class and adjusted to meet our groups individual needs. Modifications will be provided to make the most of your practice. Our yoga practice will end with a guided meditation while in Savasana.
Intuitive Collage: Using found images, scissors and glue, we will create a vibrant collage of imagery. Images will be placed on tag board creating a card which becomes a visual representations of our inner lives, connections to community, and the larger world. Our hope is that the card or cards you create will tell the story of you. This is meant to be a gentle, relaxing and intuitive process that everyone can enjoy and benefit from.
Lunch: a nutritious meal of soup, salad and a lovely bread will be provided, as well as various beverages throughout the day. The meal will be served family style and enjoyed with all retreat participants.
Forest Bathing: Allow our facilitator to support you in all that the forest has to offer. You will be invited to deepen physical presence, pleasure, and partnership with nature. When we connect with nature with all of our senses, we are then connecting with ourselves. Forest Bathing will end with a tea ceremony in the woods.
Prompted Reflection: Enjoy an hour to be present with yourself with your journal, maybe you would like more time with intuitive collage. We will have had time to have travel within. Take this hour to journal, take a walk on the beach or back to the woods. Maybe you need to sit on the porch with a cup of tea and just be present. This is your time.
Yoga Nidra: Yoga Nidra literally means yogic sleep. It is an ancient technique where the practitioner enters the deep states of conscious relaxation. It is a systematic practice of moving awareness from our external world to the inner world. It brings us to a state of deep sleep where our senses, intellect, and mind relax. As a facilitator, I guide participants into a deep meditative sleep- while (hopefully) not actually falling asleep. Participants strive to hover at the alpha wave to focus on releasing and manifesting.
Closing Circle: We come together in community to once again connect, reflect and be present with this beautiful gathering of women. We will finish by blowing out our candle and saying “until next time”.
Depart: Have a safe and wonderful trip home.
