Master the basics of winter hiking safety, from layering for warmth to building fires and shelter to managing challenges in freezing conditions. Learn to hike or snowshoe on snowy trails using gear like micro spikes and snowshoes while understanding the risks of winter terrain, conditions permitting. Snowshoes and microspikes will be provided.
Part of the course will take place in the warming hut, providing a cozy space for learning, while the rest of the course will be held outdoors on the trails.
This hands-on course provides expert tips to help you confidently enjoy the outdoors year-round.
