Women's Armoured Martial Arts beginners course

What to expect....

In this session we will be go over the basics of the sport of Buhurt (Armoured Martial Arts). This will include grappling and striking drills, as well as sparing in what we call soft kit (padded kit for protection when using padded weapons).

We will start by warming up, then covering the basics of using a sword and shield (padded foam weapons to start) and eventually build up to soft kit sparing by the end of the session.

We are Hellions, a UK female armoured combat team based in Gloucester. We love fighting, silly jokes, talking about food, and foxes. You'll learn why.

Hellions appeared on the UK fighting scene back in 2019 when the three of us stood side by side in the list for the very first time. It's been a long and truly amazing journey since. Together, we've travelled many miles to compete all over the UK and the world supporting each other through thick and thin - and just having a good time

What you'll need...

Please wear comfortable sports clothing, we recommend a long sleeved rash guard/tshirt.

Bring clean shoes for the mats.

Please bring water and some snacks.
