BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF EVENT: Join me for a morning on the water! Rent a kayak or bring your own to the boathouse at Lake Springfield. Rentals are available for rent by credit card, debit card or check. Rentals are $14 an hour for a single kayak and $17 an hour for a tandem kayak. Plan on renting the kayaks for 2 hours. Please arrive early to get your rental set up if needed. Pets are not allowed in the rented kayaks. After enjoying a couple hours on the water, we will go to lunch at Crave Mediterranean Cafe at 1111 E. Republic Rd. Ste 164, Springfield, MO 65807.

Due to local guidelines and regulations, Women Who Explore will be limiting the number of attendees per event. Each member attending the event will be required to register through Eventbrite.

• Snacks.

• Dress in layers. 

• Towel.

• Rain coat.

• Water Shoes with good traction.

• A light backpack to put supplies in.

• Sun hat.

• Sunscreen.

• Personal COVID hygiene kit

** PLEASE NOTE: Ambassadors are not wilderness first aid certified. This is a casual get together for shared outdoor enthusiasts. Safety is a top priority; please plan accordingly.**

By registering for this event, participants agree to abide by the guidelines set forth by Women Who Explore which include:

• Practice self-awareness and do not attend if you have had any flu-like symptoms, exposed to or have tested positive for Covid in the last 14 days. 

• Post-event: anyone who develops flu-like symptoms within 14 days after joining an event should contact the ambassador and Women Who Explore at [email protected].

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If you are registering for one of our group events, we ask that you are 100% committed to attending when you register. If you reserve a spot and are unable to attend, please cancel as soon as possible on Eventbrite. We ask that you try to cancel a minimum of 3 days prior to the day of the event as this allows other women who would like to attend the ability to plan to join us.
