BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF HIKE: Join WWE: MO and thousands of other Missourians at the 32nd Annual Turkey Trot 5k Run/Walk. Springfield's Turkey Trot is the largest Thanksgiving Day run in Missouri! Earn your Thanksgiving calories and support your community through the Developmental Center of the Ozarks and the Springfield-Greene County Park Board Youth Recreation Scholarship Fund. Please bring seven nonperishable food items to donate to Ozarks Food Harvest. Historically, Turkey Trot is one of the group’s largest food drives of the year. Packet pick-up is Wednesday, Nov. 25, 8 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. and Race Day, 6-7:15 a.m., at Springfield Expo Center, 635 E. St Louis. Participants may also drop off nonperishable food items for Ozark Food Harvest. We will meet before the trot for a group picture and to start together. Meeting location will be distributed to registered participants closer to the event. Participants can stay together or trot at your own pace.

Due to local guidelines and regulations, Women Who Explore will be limiting the number of attendees per event. Each member attending the event will be required to register through Eventbrite.

** PLEASE NOTE: Ambassadors are not wilderness first aid certified. This is a casual get together for shared outdoor enthusiasts. Safety is a top priority; please plan accordingly.**

By registering for this event, participants agree to abide by the guidelines set forth by Women Who Explore which include:

• Practice self-awareness and do not attend if you have had any flu-like symptoms, exposed to or have tested positive for Covid in the last 14 days. 

• Post-event: anyone who develops flu-like symptoms within 14 days after joining an event should contact the ambassador and Women Who Explore at [email protected].

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If you are registering for one of our group events, we ask that you are 100% committed to attending when you register. If you reserve a spot and are unable to attend, please cancel as soon as possible on Eventbrite. We ask that you try to cancel a minimum of 3 days prior to the day of the event as this allows other women who would like to attend the ability to plan to join us.
