FAQs:
Who is this program for?
WOW curriculum is targeted toward all who may identify as a woman and who is interested in beginning a strength training program. By covering muscle development, nutrition, and mindfulness topics in addition to movement, this program will help women feel empowered to continue with their strength development program.
Do I have to be a member of the CU Anschutz Health and Wellness Center?
No. There is member pricing for this program for people who are already members. Members should sign up at the front desk or through the member app. Non-members will receive access to the center and the TrueCoach app during the duration of the program. After the program is complete, you will have the option to continue on as a member of CU Anschutz Health and Wellness Center.
What if I have never lifted weights before?
Previous weight lifting experience is not required. Our fitness specialists will help you learn foundational movements and principles of weight and strength training in an environment designed for maximum safety and comfort.
What if I don't want to get bulky?
Weights alone will not make you bulky. Women typically will not develop bulk without excessive caloric intake. We will help you learn about the best movements and training to support your individual goals, including building lean, strong muscles. The benefit of a small group such as this (limited to 8 participants) is that you will get focused and personalized guidance.
