A women & queer folx’ circle for reflection, embodiment, creativity and collective wisdom rooted in nature and psychological safety.
About this Event

Women of the Bog is a confidential, psychologically-informed group rooted in nature and feminist values & power, and aimed at deepening self-awareness and building a sense of community. It is facilitated by a qualified counselling psychologist & massage therapist.

Ready to take a deep dive and explore the bog with me? Using the bog as a guiding metaphor - a place of mystery, preservation, transformation and slow growth - this group offers space to reflect, reconnect with body and intuition, and explore personal and collective experiences of womanhood.

Each session will blend reflective discussion, creative exploration, embodied practices, psychological skills and shared meaning-making, held within a non-judgemental, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive container.

I feel so grateful to be in a position to offer this group! I have kept the price as low as possible so that it is accessible to everyone. However, if you are able to give more, I'll accept donations!

What to expect

Each 2-hour session includes:

  • a warm welcome and a safe and confidential container
  • introduction to the session theme
  • reflective and/or creative activities (e.g. art, journalling, dyads)
  • embodied practices (e.g. breathwork, movement, somatic awareness)
  • optional sharing and collective reflection

A note on the venue

Bia Cafe is a beautiful Irish cafe in Levenshulme with strong community values. I'm so grateful to be able to use the space for Women of the Bog! Please note that the Cafe will be closed during our group, protecting our privacy and confidentiality, so no drinks or food will be served.

I will provide hot water and teas.

The 7-Session Arc

Women of the Bog follows a loose life-cycle / seasonal arc, drawing on feminine archetypes and natural rhythms to set the tone of each session. You are encouraged to book the full series, but if you prefer, you can attend one or more individual sessions. Below is a brief outline of the 7-session arc and example reflections to give you some insight into the themes we'll be exploring, but please feel free to ask if you want to know more before booking onto a session. You can get in touch through Organiser contact and I'm happy to arrange a brief call to talk through any questions.
