Women for Greater Philadelphia Women's History Month Event

Women for Greater Philadelphia (WFGP) will present their 2025 Awards at a Women’s History Month event taking place at historic Laurel Hill Mansion in Philadelphia on Sunday March 23, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. The 2025 Honorees have dedicated their lives to education, mentorship, leadership, and through their efforts have served as inspirations to others.

There will be panel discussion with Honorees followed by the presentation of awards and a reception where guests will have the opportunity to engage with the honorees.

This will be the first year that honorees will receive individually named awards. Formerly all awards given were known simply as the Women for Greater Philadelphia Award.

The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.

Women for Greater Philadelphia, Inc. is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), corporation of volunteers. It was incorporated in 1973 under the name Women for the Bicentennial as a non-profit, service organization. Its purpose at that time was to cooperate with the City of Philadelphia in celebrating the nation’s 200th anniversary in 1976. At the end of 1976 the name was changed to Women for Greater Philadelphia. WFGP are the stewards of the historic Philadelphia park house Laurel Hill Mansion, the creators of cultural events, educational programs, and the preservers of history. The organization is actively involved in creating a series of events and programs to mark the United States of America’s Semiquincentennial, the upcoming 250th anniversary of our Nation, in 2026.
