Join us at the Beijing American Center for a chance to hear from two trailblazing women who are redefining what it means to lead and innovate.
Meagan Ward, a Global Entrepreneurial Activist and visiting U.S. Embassy speaker, teams up with Jane Li, Founder of the GMI Women Design & Social Innovation Center and co-founder of the Invest Women Network (IWN), to share insights on the challenges women face, the strategies for success, and the untapped opportunities in the entrepreneurial ecosystems of both countries.
From navigating obstacles to uncovering growth potential, this conversation will explore the shared lessons and unique perspectives that drive women entrepreneurs forward. Don’t miss this opportunity to be inspired, informed, and empowered.
Bio of Speakers:
Meagan Ward is a Global Ecosystem Strategist, driving initiatives that foster entrepreneurial infrastructure and innovation across borders. As the founder of Femology and co-founder of femUniti, Inc. in Japan, she has created platforms that redefine entrepreneurship through inclusive hubs of innovation. At Michigan Central, she serves as Community Builder in Residence, connecting founders with resources and growth opportunities. With over a decade of experience in branding and economic development, Meagan has elevated companies to national prominence and contributed to startup acquisitions, blending data-driven insights with storytelling to deliver community impact. Known for aligning vision with execution, she is committed to building for legacy and future growth.
Ms. Jane, LI Jie, Founder of GlobalMoms Initiative (GMI) and GMI Women Design & Social Innovation Center, initiator and co-founder of Invest Women Network (IWN), all aim to close the gender gap through investing women and empowering mothers. Jane holds her master degree in Nonprofit Management from The University of Hong Kong and bachelor degree in laws from Fudan University. She is a PFP Fellow of the National Committee on US-China Relations (2023) and Program Fellow of Wealth for Wellbeing Initiative carried out by Institute for Philanthropy, Tsinghua University (2025). Before launching the GlobalMoms Initiative to empower women with children at different life stages, her past 17 years of work experience have spanned the private sector, public sector, and nonprofit sector, such as family office, HKEX listed state-owned company, international organization, national philanthropic foundation and social enterprise.
The program will be conducted in English.
Program suitable for ages 18 and older.
Doors will open 30 minutes before the program starts. Please try to arrive at least 20 minutes before the program starts to allow enough time to go through security. You will NOT be admitted if you arrive after the program has started.
