Join us for the premiere of Women Incarcerated: Strands of Hope, a documentary by Tallulah Films highlighting the transformative work of Knot Your Average Academy and its founder, Alisha "Lisha Lou" Hinton.
Filmed inside the Polk County J*il, this documentary offers an intimate look into an empowerment and entrepreneurship program designed to help incarcerated women. These women rediscover their potential while developing practical skills and building a foundation for independence beyond incarceration.
Through education, personal development, and hands-on learning, these women are challenged to look beyond their current circumstances and recognize the possibilities that lie ahead.
Directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Karina Michel, Woman Incarcerated: Strands of Hope shines a light on the people, purpose, and possibilities behind this work.
More than a documentary, this is a story about what happens when opportunity meets potential.
