About this Event
Join Us!
This class spotlights six women from the Louis/Dressner portfolio. Josefa from Louis/Dressner leads a comparative, side-by-side tasting that shows how viticulture, winemaking, and terroir shape flavor. You’ll also meet the people behind the bottles—a quick portrait of each winemaker and estate: where they farm, a bit of history, their stylistic focus, and the values that drive their work. We’ll connect vineyard practices (organic/biodynamic farming, hand-harvesting, picking decisions) and cellar choices (native yeasts, élevage, oak vs. steel, lees work) to what you actually smell and taste in the glass, and tie those decisions to regional context across Champagne, the Loire, Pfalz, Tuscany, and Sicily. You’ll leave with clear producer context, practical tools for buying and pairing, and focused tasting prompts to sharpen your palate—plus time for Q&A. 🍷
About Louis/Dressner Selections:
Founded in 1988, Louis/Dressner is a benchmark importer of low-intervention, terroir-driven wines. Their growers are small, independently run estates that emphasize sustainable/organic/biodynamic farming, hand-harvesting, and native-yeast fermentations. The result: wines that are transparent, place-specific, and built for the table. This class showcases that philosophy through six producers whose work has helped define honest, site-expressive wine in France, Italy, and Germany.
